What Can You Give to Someone Who's Sick or in the Hospital? A Healing Basket!

Meridian Holistic Natural Health Blog Posted on March 22, 2008 by Susan LangeMarch 22, 2008

HPIM2607.JPGWell, master stylist extraordinaire, Peter, of the "Peter Perfect" program on E! Entertainment Television has just done a complete makeover  of owner, Brenda Berkeley, and her store, The Flower Box.  They have come up with these exquisite Zen Healing Baskets which I will be showing you on my next blog. Today we were at the Grand RE-Opening of the new Flower Box store at 506 Santa Monica Boulevard, in Santa Monica, California. If you’re ever in the neighborhood you must stop by!

It’s just underneath our own clinic in the same building. The store is absolutely stunning, the flower arrangements by Yoko are gorgeous, and their latest creations, these Zen Healing baskets, could be the perfect answer for you if you have a friend or family member who is sick, or in the hospital, – or even for someone who simply needs some cheering up and healing support.

I’m holding one of the Zen healing baskets in the photo above, with Peter (of "Peter Perfect") in the middle and Brenda to the left. Brenda’s incredibly moving story will be featured on E! Entertainment in June of this year.  – and her amazing arrangements are featured in our own ECO DVD:  "The Meridian Center: ECO Design Creating Extraodinary Outcomes" from 1995! This educational DVD will be hosted on our website for free at some point very soon.

So what were Dina's favorite inspirational comedies? Dr Susan Lange interviews Dina

Meridian Holistic Natural Health Blog Posted on March 6, 2008 by Susan LangeMarch 6, 2008

Dr Susan Lange, OMD, L.Ac:  I am writing this book on the 101 top inspirational comedies ever made and it is called, “Cheer Up! Laugh Your Way To Health With Inspirational Comedy 101”. So Dina,… we would like to learn more about your story, how you healed your brain tumor with funny movies and laughter among other things and how you are feeling now.  You are a miracle! Is that right?

Dina:  Yes.

Susan:  Yes and you started telling me a little bit last time about what you did that made you different from other people.  You were telling me that you had a brain tumor? You had cancer?

Dina:  Yes and this kind called Glioblastoma multiforme.  It is considered the most malignant and aggressive type of tumor, and they gave me only six months to live.

To find out what Dina did to promote her own healing click on the next page

Another Healing Miracle is coming up: Dina Heals her Tumor with Humor

Meridian Holistic Natural Health Blog Posted on February 19, 2008 by Susan LangeFebruary 19, 2008

I recently interviewed Dina Ubaldina, a very attractive woman in her forties from Brazil, for my upcoming InspirationalComedy book which explores the healing benefits of laughter, fun and play. She was diagnosed with an extremely serious form of brain tumor and went to many different medical experts who all gave her the same diagnosis and a very short period to live – six months to be exact.  But she never gave up and finally met a doc at UCLA who was willing to support her in her conviction that she could survive.

She is not just surviving she is thriving! And she has set up a website to inspire others, linked to a UCLA website which I will give you in my next post.

I asked her what she attributes her success to, and how she healed from her cancer and she cited several very important factors that helped her dramatically. We will be going into those in more depth next time. But she did give me her favorite funny movies to tell you. The movies that helped inspire her and made her laugh

They will be going into my upcoming book with David Riklan, the founder of www.SelfGrowth.com : "The 101 Top Inspirational Comedies Ever Made: Laugh Your Way to Health"

More anon

PS  To add more fun, laughter and humor to your daily life why don’t you visit our blog at http://www.101ComediesThatHeal.com . We would be so tickled if you would help our resource base grow by contributing your suggestions and recommendations, letting us know what inspires you and what makes you laugh.

Of Course Pets need Holistic Health Care too, don't they?

Meridian Holistic Natural Health Blog Posted on February 10, 2008 by Susan LangeFebruary 10, 2008

We know many of you are interested in Holistic Health care for yourselves, but how do you find help for your pets which is also holistic?  Here is an example of someone who is trained as a yoga teacher, – she teaches seniors, – and she uses her compassion, intuition and yoga skills to work with dogs and obedience training. She has recently been volunteering at an animal rescue center and saving some pets that have been living in horrific conditions.

I am quite sure that her experience with pets helps the seniors and her experience with the seniors and yoga transfers to the pets. No wonder she’s so popular!  We’re looking forward to some tips fom Flavia on Holistic pet care in the near future – and specifically holistic dog training.

If you love your dogs and haven’t found  a holistic dog trainer keep looking. They are definitely out there. And if you’re lucky enough to live in the  San Fernando Valley , North of  Los Angeles  click on the next page

From Hysterectomy and Despair to Hope and Healing

Meridian Holistic Natural Health Blog Posted on February 8, 2008 by Susan LangeFebruary 8, 2008

If only she had come in before her hysterectomy!

If you are suffering from any kind of symptoms such as leaky gut, irritable bowel syndrome, menstrual problems, or hormonal issues please read Catherine’s story  before you take any kind of drastic action.

Excerpt from a Hysterectomy Testimonial by Catherine
about the benefits of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine.

“My name is Catherine and I first came to Dr Julian Lange probably about a year following a hysterectomy in which I fought for my right to keep my ovaries. What began to happen is that the ovaries, particularly my left ovary, began to swell and I was in a considerable amount of pain on a daily basis, but also had intermittent, what I called, attacks, where basically I was bedridden. These attacks came once a month, once every couple months, as time went on they became more and more regular. My GI tract was completely stopped up and I was in pain whenever I ate. [The] surgeons recommended that I have surgery again.

(This does have a happy ending. To find out  go to the next page.)
